‘I’m not politically finished’ – Frances Essiam responds to NDC’s Beatrice Annan, defends herself
Frances Essiam, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited (GCMCL), has responded to accusations that her political career is dead, stating that she is not seeking any form of political clout.
Her remarks were made in response to Beatrice Annan, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Communication Team, who accused Essiam of using her (Annan) to revive her own political career.
Essiam firmly rejected the notion that her political career is dead, asserting that she is not pursuing higher political positions such as parliamentary or presidential roles. She also addressed Annan’s political aspirations, suggesting that it is actually Annan who is attempting to revive her own career in politics.
During their appearance on the August 14, 2023, edition of the Good Morning Ghana show on Metro TV, the two women engaged in a back-and-forth exchange about their respective political careers and intentions.
