Meet the 8-member NPP disciplinary committee to ‘handle’ Ken Agyapong, Hopeson, others
The composition of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Disciplinary Committee to hear the case against Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who is expected to appear before it along with other four party members for alleged misconduct has been announced.
A statement issued on Sunday, August 27 after the NPP Super Delegates Conference said the Assin Central lawmaker will be hauled before the Committee “to provide responses and further details to the accusations and threats he made against certain personalities in a video that has since gone viral on social media and mainstream media”.
The Disciplinary Committee chaired by Roads Minister Kwasi Amoako-Atta has 7 other members.

Another person to face off with the Disciplinary Committee is Hopeson Adorye, Campaign Team member of Alan Kyeremateng.
On Saturday, August 26 at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), where delegates of the party in the Central Region met for the Conference, Ken Agyapong, in a fit of rage, swore to give President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia a “showdown”.
This was after he is said to have received reports that one of his agents in the Upper West Region had been allegedly chased out of the voting center.
The statement issued by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong said the party is committed to upholding the democratic values, accountability and the highest standards of conduct.
“We are confident that this disciplinary process will be conducted with fairness, transparency, and impartiality.”
Some four other members of the party have also been referred to the Committee per Article 10(7)(5) of the party’s constitution.
They are Raphael Patrick Sarfo, Charles Dokyi Yaw-Addo, Musa Sulemana and Hopeson Yaovi Adorye.
“This is a direct response to evidence, including video and photographic materials, which suggest potential violations of the provisions outlined in Article 3(5)(A)(1)(2)(3) and (4) of the Party’s Constitution and a potential misconduct under Article 4(7).”
