Spintex Knights Extend Unbeaten Run in Accra Basketball League Week 7
The Spintex Knights Basketball Team ended Week 7 of the Accra Basketball League Men's Division 1 on a high note with a dominant performance on Saturday, May 10th, at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
Determined to keep their unbeaten record intact in the first round of the league, the Knights took to the court with a strong starting five: Botchway Treasure, Elvis Pobi-Siaw, Omari Benjamin Mensah, Ashitei Benjamin, and Oumar Abakah Outman.
The Knights wasted no time asserting their dominance, taking control of the first quarter with a commanding 31-10 lead.
Although Tema Youth mounted a stronger challenge in the second quarter, they couldn’t overturn the momentum. The Knights closed the half leading 48-31.
After the break, Spintex returned with renewed energy, crushing Tema Youth’s hopes with a clinical 69-36 lead by the end of the third quarter. Tema managed to score only five baskets in that period.
The final quarter was no different, as the Knights continued to outclass their opponents, sealing the game with an emphatic 85-54 victory.
Player of the Game went to Abdul Aziz Yakubu for the second time, who delivered a solid performance with 12 points, 1 block, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds.
With this win, the Spintex Knights remain a force to reckon with as they eye a perfect first round in the 2025 Accra Basketball League season.
