GH Dolphins dominate 2025 GSA President's Cup with 62 Medals
The GH Dolphins Swimming Club emerged as the undisputed champions of the 2025 Ghana Swimming Association (GSA) President's Cup, collecting a staggering 62 medals at the third edition of the event held at the Borteyman Sports Complex on Saturday.
The Dolphins amassed 37 gold, 14 silver, and 11 bronze medals to secure the top spot in a highly competitive field. Marlins, winners of the 2023 edition, settled for second place with 32 medals, while GH Aquatic Masters came third with 24 medals.
In addition to their team success, GH Dolphins clinched both prestigious individual awards at the event. Boris Ushinskii was named Best Male Swimmer after an impressive performance that saw him win four gold medals.
Best Female Swimmer went to Mercedes Abdallah, who delivered a stellar showing with five gold medals and one silver.
“The event went as well as planned,” said GSA President Delphina Quaye. “We are growing, the kids are getting more interested. Parents are enrolling their kids into swimming lessons and the kids are doing marvelously well. We know we have a future.”
With the momentum building, next year’s edition of the President’s Cup promises to be even more exciting as clubs regroup and prepare to battle for medals and bragging rights.
