GFA officials tried to bribe Anas – Kweku Baako

Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has revealed that there were clandestine moves by officials of the Ghana Football Association, GFA, to bribe Anas Aremeyaw Anas from releasing his latest investigative piece.

Anas is on the verge of releasing his latest piece which is centred on politics and football on June 6 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Mr Baako has previously disclosed that Anas’ latest piece titled, “Number 12” would be “dynamite” and the reputation of the personalities involved cannot be “redeemed”.

However, speaking on “Good Morning Ghana” show on Metro TV on Thursday, Mr Baako who was furious about how a section of football administrators have responded to the reports of Anas’ imminent video insisted that GFA officials offered to pay monies to curtail the screening of the video.

“Did you know that GFA officials attempted to bribe Anas?” he quizzed.

“When the GFA officials found out that he [Anas] is on the verge of releasing such a piece, they gave money to a certain lawyer to give to Anas to prevent him from releasing the video, but the lawyer was scared and sent the money back to the GFA.

“I must say that the lawyer is a prominent lawyer, but what I want to tell the public is that nobody can tell what Anas should do and when he should come out with his work,” Mr Baako asserted.”
