[AUDIO]: Prominent lawyer attempted to bribe Anas to free GFA – Kweku Baako

Ace journalist, Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako Jnr has revealed that a prominent lawyer tried to bribe undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas to free officials of the Ghana Football Association.

Anas’ new work titled ‘Number 12″ is said to be an expose about the corruption at the Ghana Football Association on June 6 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Mr Baako has previously disclosed to the public that Anas latest piece is a dynamite and the reputation of the personalities involved can never be redeemed.

Reports have emerged that, members of the GFA are shivering and planned to place an injunction in the video that is yet to be released.

However, speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on Thursday, Mr Baako who was furious with how some section of football administrators are condemning Anas revealed that a prominent lawyer tried to bribe Anas to free the FA officials.

“Look, this one, this GFA one, there was an attempt to bribe him, OK, There was an attempt because there is a lawyer – and I’m sorry I won’t mention his name, of course, he may know it’s him, maybe he is watching us – who is close to Anas and who knew that this job was going on, and I think he went and did some ‘Okro mouth’, so, somebody now tries to give him money to go and give to Anas.

“The lawyer took the money and was scared to go and deliver it to Anas. So, eventually, he [lawyer] had to go back to the man and say: ‘[I couldn’t deliver the bribe], take it’. But of course, we have found out. He’s a lawyer, very good lawyer, a prominent lawyer.”
