American rapper Ace Hood says claims by Sarkodie that his team reached out to that of the Ghanaian rapper for a feature are untrue.
The two artistes linked up and released ‘New Guy‘ in June 2015.
The song which was originally set to be a part of Sarkodie’s ‘Mary’ album was released to critical success with critics saying it was a must-have.
In an interview to promote the sing, Sarkodie, claimed Ace Hood reached out to his team for a collaboration adding that he did not announce it because he was unsure.
“Such a call makes you feel like a prank but I got a call from my agent in the States who told me that Ace Hood contacted,” he stated.
However, reacting to the interview Thursday, Ace Hood stated that Sarkodie was not being truthful in the interview.
“A lie smh. But I wish him well!,” the American rapper wrote under the post.
Ace Hood’s comments have received mixed reactions on Twitter where the video was posted.
Some Sarkodie fans believe Ace Hood is trying to use Sarkodie to “revive” his career while others believe it might have been a miscommunication.
A different section of twitter users are also finding the issue funny adding that they do not understand why Sarkodie would lie.
