Ajumako Enyan Essiam residents must not suffer because of partisan politics – Ato Forson

The Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has urged all the Assembly Members in the District not to cause the good people of the area to suffer because of partisan politics.

According to him, though he’s from an opposition party, he’s ready to collaborate with the newly elected District Chief Executive to ensure development in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.

Speaking at the Confirmation of the District Chief Executive and election of the Presiding Member for the Assembly, he advised the Assembly Members to be united and collaborate with each other to fight for development to the District.

He said Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Assembly has lost lots of money due to the lack of a Presiding Officer which has really affected the Assembly’s development.

“Chiefs, Elders, and Opinion Leaders in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District have requested a for Presiding Officer a long time ago and we have fulfilled their heart desire and I know they will not bother me with the Presiding Officer issue again.” Hon. Ato Forson added.

Addressing the Assembly Members at the DCE confirmation ceremony, the new DCE for the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Hon. Ransford Kwesi Nyarko pledged to work hard for the betterment of the district.

According to him, he will lobby to bring massive development in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in his second time as DCE.

He said he will make sure peace and Unity prevail in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District at all times and ensure a good name for the district.

Ransford Kwesi Nyarko assured to complete and commission all uncompleted projects he started in his first term, adding that he will work without any discrimination and intimidation.

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Merrygold Assan who graced the occasion appealed to the Assembly Members to support the District Chief Executive and the newly elected Presiding Officer in their work to develop the District.

Meanwhile, the DCE Nominee for the Ekumfi District Mr. Monney was rejected by the Assembly Members after several engagements by the Central Regional Minister, the Minister for Roads, the Member of Parliament for Ekumfi, and many prominent personalities.

Another exercise to confirm or reject the nominee will be held in ten days’ time.
