Actress Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has been released from prison custody.
Even though she was granted bail on Wednesday, 21 April 2021, she had been in detention at the Nsawam Female Prison since then.
The Criminal Court 2 Division of the High Court granted Akuapem Poloo bail in the sum of GHS80,000 with two sureties after her lawyer filed an appeal against her 90-day prison term imposed by an Accra Circuit Court.
She will also be required to report to the case investigator every two weeks.
She must also deposit her passport with the court registrar.
The video vixen can only travel with the express permission of the court.
The socialite was sentenced after publishing a nude picture of hers along with her seven-year-old son on social media.
In court today, Friday, 23 April 2021, she signed her bail bond and got released after that.
The actress’ lawyer, Andrew Kudzo Vortia, described the processes leading to the signing of the bail bond as cumbersome due to the bureaucratic nature of the prison service.
