All students will go through police, military training – Odike
Akwasi Addai Odike, founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), has made known his intent to incorporate security consciousness courses into the country’s educational curriculum should he be made president.
According to him, this will bring day-to-day criminal activities to a minimum.
He made these comments following the directive of the Acting Inspector of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh that all policemen men on duty to carry arms, following the gruesome murder of two unarmed MMTD officers at Kasoa by an armed civilian.
Two MMTD officers, Late Sergeant Michael Dzamasi and Lance Corporal Awal Mohammed were shot and killed by a suspect, Eric Duah at Kasoa in the Central region last Wednesday.
