Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Allotey Jacobs has indicated that he has dismissed himself from the NDC.
This comes months after the NDC’s FEC suspended him for engaging in acts which were described as unpartisan.
Allotey Jacobs who made this known on Accra-based Peace FM indicated that he will support the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led administration but will never be a member of the NPP.
“Kwame let me reveal this in your studio that I no longer belong to the NDC. If they have suspended me, I have also dismissed myself. I no longer belong to the NDC [but] I’m not an NPP member, I will not be an NPP member.
He indicated that his support for this administration emanates from the fact that there is a new wave of political leadership in the country.
To him, a lot of ills were said about Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo but taking over the reigns of governance he has proven himself worthy of the position.
“Kwame what is happening n this country, there is a vast change in our system. I’m seeing a new type of leadership. In every organization, if it goes very well it depends on the leadership. A leadership which was lied on but the person came to take power and we’ve seen the best change,” he told Accra-based Peace FM.
