Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer, Asamoah Gyan says he will surprise to see corruption in Ghana football in the forthcoming Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé which has been named No.12 Football and Politics.
There is an unrest within the top officials of the Ghana Football Association, the Referee’s Association and most Ghana Premier League clubs since Tiger Eye PI team announced they will focus their attention on football due to the suspicion of pervasive corruption in that sector.
The ace investigative journalist will premiere his new work on Ghana Football on Thursday, June 7, with many, especially football people anxiously waiting at the Accra International Conference Centre.
But Gyan declared he will be flabbergasted should Anas’ latest investigative piece is able to actually uncover rot in Ghana Football because he is yet to come across it himself.
The 31-year-old however, stated he is keen to see the revelations by Anas when his newest documentary titled ‘Number 12’ is premiered in Accra and other selected cities in Ghana on June 6.
‘As the captain of the Black Stars, I’m interested in the video and will make time to watch it if only I’m in Ghana. I will be very shocked if it comes out clear that there is corruption in our game (Ghana football),’ Gyan told Hot FM.
‘This is because throughout my career I have not come across such an issue till date so we’re all waiting,’ he added.
