Ken Agyapong has alleged that investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, bribed suspect standing trial for the murder of Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu,
Daniel Asiedu popularly known as Sexy Don Don to name him as his accomplice.
The Assin Central lawmaker speaking on Okay FM on Monday revealed that Asiedu’s recent assertions in court that he was contracted by the some NPP stalwarts to take the life of the Abuakwa North MP was engineered by Anas.
He stated boastfully that he is privy to a meeting Anas had with certain individuals, whom he declined to name, to hatch the plot, intended to tarnish his reputation and frustrate his quest to expose Anas’ dubious tactics he employs in his “so-called” investigations.
“What Asiedu said in court was orchestrated by Anas. I have information that he paid Sexy Don Don to mention the NPP and my name so that I will be forced to defend myself and leave him off the hook.
“I am not perturbed at all. I will bring Anas down in this country. I will let the whole world know the dubious deal he has been doing for people to judge,” the MP stressed.
After Anas premiered his latest documentary which was dubbed “Number 12”, Mr Agyapong vowed to show the general public who Anas really is.
He argued that he will take this action because he believes Anas’ mode of operation is “unfair.”
“I am not against the investigations that he is doing, but the procedure is totally wrong; enticing people to speak so that he will go and blackmail them and make money, so he could build apartment houses in Dzorwulu and buy lands all over the country, is what I hate, and God will not even bless him,” he said.
