Anthony Annan suffers injury in HJK Helsinki game with Mariehamn

Former Black Stars midfielder, Anthony Annan has suffered an injury during a game with his club side HJK Helsinki.

The energetic midfield dynamo was replaced by Etu Vertainen just four minutes into the game involving Helsinki and Mariehamn on Thursday as the Blue and White lads overcame Mariehamn 2-0 at the Telia 5G-Areena.

The 36-year-old is expected to undergo a scan on Friday to know the extent on injury.

Anthony Annan has made 21 appearances in the Veikkausliiga championship as they sit top of the pile with 59 points after 26 games.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs star was part of Ghana’s squad that played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
