The Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Anthony Carbo has been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for questioning.
The invitation is in relation to the fraud allegations against GFA boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi by the President Akufo-Addo.
According to sources the deputy minister’s name was mentioned in the investigative video by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, which revealed the GFA boss using the President’s name to solicit bribe from supposed investors.
Source have revealed that Mr. Karbo was named in the video by GFA boss as a mediator between him and the presidency in the video.
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako confirmed this on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana that the Anthony Karbo was mentioned in the film.
“Karbo is mentioned, Karbo is the one scheduled to be interviewed on Wednesday, I don’t see why you are doubting that I’m saying this on a public record. Karbo is mentioned and he is aware that he’s been mentioned and he knew that Wednesday, we were to meet for the interview, so he would have watched,” he said.
It is not yet known if Mr. Karbo would be charged after questioning concerning the investigative video.
