Armed robbers kill another security man in Kumasi

A private security man has been murdered by suspected robbers at Ahenema Kokoben near Kumasi in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti region in an alleged armed robbery operation at A2 Aluminium Company Limited.

The deceased identified as Mr Annorh was reportedly killed on Tuesday, October 20, 2021 when he was on duty on the day of the incident.

The robbers according to a report bolted with about 90,000 Ghana cedis after the operation.

A staff of A2 Allumminium Limited, Omono Asamoah explained the deceased was found dead on Wednesday day morning with his hands and legs tied behind him.

The yet-to-be-identified assailants also attacked a vending shop of the Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG) and made away with an amount of GHC8,000.

Police have conveyed the lifeless body of the security officer to the morgue, while investigations have commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Two security officers have in the past two weeks been killed in a similar manner in Kumasi.
