Premier League side, AshantiGold FC have terminated the contract of head coach Charles Kwabena Akunnor.
The former Black Stars skipper was supposed to resume training with the Miners on Monday but was surprisingly seen on GTV doing punditry.
Akunnor who parted company with the club on Thursday had been suspended before that decision.
His suspension came as a result of neglecting team duties for a punditry job on the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
He joined the Obuasi based club from Dreams FC after Bashiru Hayford left his duties as the head coach of the club.
Assistant coach, Yakubu Mambo has been tasked to take over first-team duties.
Below is the statement signed and released by the management of the club:
ASHGOLD PART WAYS WITH C. K. AKONNOR
