Mr. Ernest Kwarteng, Director of Excel College of Health, has charged graduates to strive to improve the circumstances of persons within their communities by applying the knowledge they have acquired at the institution.
Addressing congregants at the matriculation / graduation ceremony on Saturday, he urged graduates to defy the odds in the outside world and offer resolute solutions in their areas of expertise.
“Do not be afraid to do things differently from your competitors. You must be bold in your job search, bearing in mind that you are going to use the knowledge you have acquired to better society,” he told graduates.
By way of welcoming the students who have enrolled for programmes such as cosmetology, hair dressing and fashion design, he advised them to attach seriousness to their studies.
“The quality of the skills you acquire at the institution will determine the heights you will reach in future.
“That is why you must apply yourselves seriously to your studies here. The tutors may carry out their duties by trying their best to impart knowledge they have gathered in theory and practice to you; but the results you will achieve ultimately depends on you,” Ernest Kwarteng Director of the institution added.
Mr. Martinson Osei, director of National Vocational and Training Institute, NVIT, a special guest at the ceremony added that, graduates should stay away from politicizing issues and take advantage of government interventions available to them.
Excel College of Health in Kumasi is an institution in Kumasi located at Airport Roundabout opposite Drivers Licensing Authority.
The educational center which has been in operation for over 10 years trains nurses and also has departments which offers programmes such as cosmetology, hair dressing and fashion designing.
