CAF WCL: Evelyn Badu of Hasaacas Ladies crowned woman of the tournament

Hasaacas Ladies lost out on the ultimate prize of the CAF Women’s Champions League as they lost in the final to Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday in Egypt but the top marksman of the team, Evelyn Badu did not leave empty handed.

It was a bitter-sweet ending for the Hasaacas Ladies striker as she was crowned the best player of the tournament ( Woman of the tournament) and also the top scorer of the tournament on a day her team failed to win the ultimate.

The striker of Hasaacas Ladies scored a total of five (5) goals in the just ended tournament making her the top scorer of tournament and also the woman of the tournament.

Speaking to Kasapa Sports after the game , she expressed her gratitude to her coach, teammates, management and Ghanaians for the support given to her and the entire team.

According to her they did their best to win the ultimate for Ghanaians but their best was not enough to beat the winners. She was however hopeful that they will build on the experience they have gathered over the weeks in the tournament in Egypt and do better next time they get the opportunity.

Hasaacas Ladies are expected to be given a hero’s welcome by Ghanaians even though they lost in the final as a result of their splendid performances at the just ended tournament.

Most Ghanaians believe they have been great ambassadors of women football in the past few weeks with their lovely and eye pleasing football in the just ended tournament.
