Chinese manager stabs Ghanaian factory worker

A factory worker of a plastic manufacturing company in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has allegedly been stabbed by his Chinese Manager, according to report.

The teenage worker, Peter Frimpong, was stabbed three times by his 32-year-old manager Liu Zhen Zhong on Wednesday, the police said.

“Peter was stabbed in the neck and palm over laxity at work. We have also arrested Zhen’s assistant, Liu Wan,” a police spokesperson disclosed.

The two have since been transferred from the KATH police post to the Asokwa Divisional Police headquarters.

Eye witnesses say the Chinese Manager got angry and pushed the 19-year-old worker after he was found sitting idle. It resulted in a heated verbal exchange and physical confrontation leading to the stabbing.

Police have taken their statements pending investigations.
