NPP Tema West Chairman celebrates wife on 25th anniversary
Chairman of the Tema West constituency branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Poku Bosompem, has attributed what he says is his better sense of political service to his marriage and his better half of over two decades.
While celebrating the 25th Anniversary of his nuptial, Mr. Kwasi Poku Bosompem said his soul mate’s understanding, support and counsel are what have helped him on his journey in politics over the decades.
“A good wife is a priceless gift from God and I am fortunate to have found mine 25 years ago.
All the good that you see in me is because of her; the peace of mind she gives along with the counsel and support cannot be quantified in material terms,” Mr. Kwasi Poku Bosompem said.
He adds that, “Herty has made me a better man, a better member of the community, a better citizen and a better politician.”
The Tema West New Patriotic Party Chairman and his wife, Herty Kakie Bosompem, celebrated the 25th anniversary of their marriage on Sunday at Sakumono in the Greater Accra Region.
The celebration entailed a thanksgiving church service which was held at the Sakumono Evergreen Church and a party at their residence. It was on the sidelines of the party that the NPP Chairman attributed his political maturity to the blessings of his good marriage.
“I will urge all young people seeking to marry to hasten slowly and allow God himself to guide them into meeting their soul mates because marriage is such a consequential institution that one has to be prepared for it.
At the same time, I will urge people not to be afraid to commit to their soul mates once they meet because trust me, it is indeed a truism that behind every successful man is a woman,” Mr. Kwasi Poku Bosompem said.
In attendance at the ceremony were dignitaries including the current Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tema, Hon. Yohane Amarh Ashitey, his predecessor, Hon. Felix Mensah Nii Annang-La and the Tema East constituency Chairman of the NPP, Nene Ofoe Teyechu Agbadiagba IV.
Also in attendance were party faithful and some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) including Stephen Ashitey Adjei, alias Moshake and Hon. Charles Amos, former Assembly Member for Padmore Electoral area. Miss Rose Nkrumah, a director of Basic Education in the Greater Accra region was full of praise for Hon. Kwasi Poku Bosompem and his wife for the impact they have made in society.“
In fact, I am impressed that the ceremony attracted the crème-de-la crème of Tema including the brilliant Mayor of Tema, Yohane Amarh Ashitey”. Miss Rose Nkrumah said.
