Franklin Cudjoe reacts to viral video of man ‘crying’ over hardship, praising Mahama
Franklin Cudjoe, the President and Founder of IMANI Africa, expressed sadness after watching a viral video where a man complained about the hardships faced by his family under the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Cudjoe shared the video on his Facebook page on July 30, 2023, and agreed with the man’s suggestion that the previous government led by John Dramani Mahama was better.
In the video, the man, appearing to be in his late 30s or early 40s, pointed out that many Ghanaians are suffering under the current government but are afraid to speak out due to potential repercussions. He expressed his frustration with the worsening economic conditions in the country and criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for claiming they will win the next election despite what he perceived as their mismanagement of the country.
He cited examples of the rising prices of basic commodities, such as sardines, fare, toothpaste, and other essentials, which have become increasingly unaffordable. He expressed his disbelief that the NPP is confidently seeking another term in power despite these challenges.
The man passionately spoke in Twi, emphasizing the significant increase in the cost of living during the current administration compared to the previous one under Mahama. His heartfelt outburst captured the frustrations of many Ghanaians who are facing similar hardships.
Franklin Cudjoe’s reaction reflects the concerns shared by many citizens who feel the impact of the economic difficulties in the country. The video has garnered attention and resonated with those who are experiencing the challenges firsthand.
