Video: NPP members in diaspora strongly criticize Akufo-Addo’s government

Some NPP members living abroad are expressing deep dissatisfaction with the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government.

During an episode of Okay FM’s Egyaso Gyaso program on August 1, 2023, these diaspora members voiced their concerns about the worsening state of the country under Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

According to them, the situation is deteriorating due to the president’s reluctance to heed advice, while NPP members remain silent as both the nation and their party suffer.

One of the NPP members specifically criticized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for neglecting his responsibilities as the head of the Economic Management Team. Instead of addressing pressing economic issues, the vice president seems more focused on promoting digitalization, which, according to the member, is not sufficient to address the current economic challenges.

Another member added that a significant majority of Ghanaians are discontent with the NPP’s performance under Nana Akufo-Addo’s leadership. They expressed concern that his decisions and policies have contributed to the decline in the country’s well-being, and some even went so far as to suggest that he is on the path to becoming one of the country’s worst presidents.

These NPP diaspora members’ candid criticism reflects the growing frustration and dissatisfaction among some party members and Ghanaians at large. They are deeply concerned about the direction the country is heading and the impact of the government’s decisions on the nation’s welfare.
