Bawumia Must Reward Tema East NPP Executives

Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s sterling performance in the Tema East constituency during the party’s presidential primary was no fluke; it is the outcome of tireless underground work by a group of selfless and dedicated party thoroughbreds who gave their all to the vision of his presidency.

This is according to Mr. Felix Seshie, the NPP’s Coordinator for the Dade-Agbo Electoral Area in the Tema Metropolis.

“It is my humble opinion that these unsung heroes of the cause be exceptionally acknowledged and rewarded for their exemplary sacrifices,” Mr. Felix Seshie told a group of journalists in Tema on Monday.

According to him, the list of the “heroes of the Bawumia campaign in Tema East” starts with Bawa Ustarz, the Deputy NASARA Coordinator.

“A whole year before anybody would even contemplate the campaign, my brother Bawa Ustarz had already hit the ground running, first organizing all tribal chiefs in Tema to meet with Vice president Bawumia in the Jubilee House and serving as their spokesman as he intentionally built camaraderie, knowing that the tribal chiefs were an important medium through which delegates could be convinced.”

He added that Bawa would subsequently go underground and keep in touch with delegates to whom he enlightened about the multiple wins that the NPP would clock through a Bawumia candidature.

“The others are, Nene Ofoe Teyechu  Agbadiagba lV, the Tema East Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Stephen Aboagye, Second Constituency Vice Chairman of Tema East NPP and Albert Kraku, Tema East NPP Communication Officer and Spokesman for the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive.

“These faithful souls did not only pioneer the Bawumia campaign, but actually carried it,” Felix Seshie said.

According to him, it is as a result of their efforts that even though Vice President Bawumia had lost almost all constituencies in Volta and Greater Accra to Ken Agyapong, he won Tema East by landslide margin.

At the end of the polls, Vice President Bawumia had swept 808 of total votes cast as against Ken Agyapong’s 331 in Tema East.

However, in the four sister constituencies, Tema West, Tema Central, Kpone Katamanso and Krowor Constituencies - Ken Agyapong had won against Dr. Bawumia.

Mr. Agyapong had also won in significant constituencies like Ayawaso West Wuogon among others.

“There is a saying that honour is befitting whom honour is due; these dedicated disciples of the Bawumia vision are still working quietly on the ground and I think they deserve to be rewarded, not only as a way of motivating others, but also as a way of motivating them to do even more, I doff off my hat for Nene Ofoe Teyechu Agbadiagba IV, the Tema East NPP Chairman, Bawa Ustarz, deputy Nasara Co-ordinator of Tema East NPP and Albert Kraku, the hardworking special assistant to the TMA Boss.” Felix Seshie said.
