Three arrested for stealing rail tracks at Nsawam
The Nsawam Municipal Police Command has apprehended three individuals, Ibrahim Adamu, Abdul Kadril, and Japharu Haruna, for allegedly stealing rail tracks. Riding in a Hyundai Mighty truck loaded with quantities of railway lines, the suspects were intercepted by a police patrol team following reports of their activities in Pakro.
The Akuapem South Municipality has witnessed a series of rail track thefts, prompting heightened alertness from the municipal security council. The suspects are currently in custody and expected to face court proceedings soon.
Amidst the arrests, Akuapem South Municipal Chief Executive Frank Aidoo vehemently denied any involvement in the theft, dismissing accusations as fabrications by political opponents. Aidoo emphasized that the case has been reported to the Nsawam police station, urging a thorough investigation to unravel the truth behind the alleged rail track heist in Pakro.
