Ghana's 4×100m relay team showcased their resilience and speed at the World Relays in the Bahamas, securing an automatic qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Despite facing a setback with a baton drop earlier in the competition, the Ghanaian quartet, led by African Games 200 meters Bronze Medalist Joseph Paul Amoah, delivered a stellar performance on Day 2 of the event.
In a highly competitive heat featuring teams from Nigeria, Korea, Saudi Arabia, the Dominican Republic, and the Netherlands, Ghana's team comprising Isaac Botsio, Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, and anchor Amoah, sprinted to victory in style.
Fuseini's explosive start set the pace, seamlessly passing the baton to Botsio, who maintained Ghana's lead. Azamati's powerful run on the third leg further solidified their position before Amoah, known for his lightning speed, blazed through the anchor leg, sealing Ghana's triumph.
Their victory not only secured a spot at the Paris Olympics but also showcased the team's exceptional teamwork and determination.
