    CIR Summit 2024 Held in Ghana

    The CIR Summit 2024 hosted by the Chartered Institute of Realtors (CIR) and the Chamber of Real Estate (CRE), in partnership with the Embassy of Lebanon concluded on Friday the 27th of September with resounding success, bringing together a host of members of the diplomatic corps, traditional leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss and address the critical issues of flood mitigation and strategies for the reduction of the housing deficit plaguing the country.

    Under the theme “Partnering to Resolve Flooding and Reducing the Housing Deficit in Ghana”, the Summit was held at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana from 10 am to 1 pm, featuring a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, a panel discussion, and the launch of the strategic social housing scheme.


    Renowned experts from academia, real estate and the government sectors shared their insights on sustainable practices to support long-term housing development and flood prevention, providing valuable perspectives on the road map to navigating the challenges we face as a country.

    Several media houses were present on the day to capture this groundbreaking event aside from the many participants who were in attendance.

    Speaking at the summit, the ambassador of Lebanon to Ghana, His Excellency Maher Kheir emphasized the need to find solutions to the flooding issues, as well as the unflinching support the institute stands to gain from its partnership with him to help resolve these challenges. The ambassador was excited about this initiative and commended the CIR and CRE for their vision to be of beneficial service to the industry.


     “We are thrilled with the outcome of the CIR Summit,” said Dr. Mark Ankrah, a Social Housing and Regeneration Consultant, and former Managing Director of State Housing Company, whose in-depth knowledge and experience alongside Dr. Isaac Arthur, and Mrs. Enkelejda Xhebexhiu helped steer discussions on the day to fruition. 

     “The event provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, and we are confident that the insights gained will drive innovation and progress in the real estate industry as well as national development.”

    Organizers of this year’s summit are hopeful of going global with their efforts in providing sustainable solutions while contributing significantly to the improvement of the real estate industry.
