    Nii Okanta Ankrah II Still Head Of Mantse Ankrah Royal Family … As Appeals Court Uphold High Court Judgement

    The Accra High Court, General Jurisdiction 12, presided over by His Lordship Charles Gyamfi-Danquah, in a significant development, ruled on October 30, 2023, that Edmund Nii Arday Ankrah, also known as Nii Adjabeng Ankrah II, cannot claim to be the legitimate Head of the Mantse Ankrah royal family.

    Following the ruling, Nii Adjabeng filed a motion for a stay of execution, which was denied by the High Court. However, the Court of Appeal granted the stay the same day, pending Adjabeng’s appeal.

    In a recent development, the Appeals Court, presided over by Justice Gifty Adjei Addo, delivered a judgment on 13 January, 2025, stating that Nii Adjabeng’s appeal was dismissed due to non-compliance with Rule 20 (1) of C.I. 19. The rule requires appellants to file written submissions within 21 days of receiving Form 6, after both parties being served on November 4th respectively.

    Nii Okanta Ankrah II, after the judgement has called on all family members to put behind all their differences and come together to build a unified Royal family.
