Exchequers Hit Ten as Week 14 Delivers Goals Galore
Week 14 of the 2025 Salpholda Hockey League brought goals, victories, and drama at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Pitch.
Exchequers produced the biggest scoreline of the weekend, dismantling Arkmen 10–0 in a ruthless display. Army Ladies also impressed, powering past Extinguishers 3–1, while Reformers Ladies overcame Legonknights Ladies with the same scoreline. Reformers Men edged Legonknights Men 1–0 in a tight encounter to collect maximum points.
The biggest talking point of the week came in the much-anticipated clash between GRA and Police. In the women’s division, GRA Ladies were awarded a 3–0 win and three points after their match was suspended in the first quarter. The controversy unfolded when GRA scored, but Police disputed the umpire’s decision and walked off the turf. Per league rules, the points and goals were handed to GRA Ladies, with disciplinary proceedings expected to follow.
In the final fixture of the week, GRA Men proved too strong for Police Men, cruising to a 4–1 win.
Week 14 will be remembered not just for Exchequers’ 10-goal spectacle but also for the rare walkout that by Police Ladies.
