2025/26 Women’s FA Cup Semi-Finals Go All–Southern
The quarter-finals of the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup pitched Southern Zone clubs against their Northern Zone counterparts, producing action-packed encounters across all four matches played on 21 February 2026.
Women’s Premier League debutants Samartex Ladies were involved in one of the standout ties, hosting Northern Zone high-flyers FC Savannah, who sit second on their league table with 23 points.
The match ended 1-1 after regulation time, but Samartex kept their composure to win 4-3 on penalties and secure a historic semi-final place.
The only Division One side in the quarter-finals, Supreme Ladies, pushed last season’s finalists Jonina Ladies all the way in a dramatic contest. After a 2-2 draw at full time, Jonina edged the shootout 5-4 to progress.
Second placed Southern Zone side Army Ladies travelled north and delivered a dominant performance, sweeping aside Tamale Super Ladies, who are eighth on the Northern Zone table, with a convincing 4-0 victory.
The most anticipated clash of the round saw Southern Zone leaders Hasaacas Ladies face Northern Zone leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies. Both former Women’s FA Cup champions, Ampem Darkoa with two titles, and Hasaacas with one served up an entertaining contest.
Ampem Darkoa struck first, but Hasaacas rallied to claim a 2-1 win and advance.
With these results, the Women’s FA Cup semi-finals will feature only Women’s Premier League teams, all from the Southern Zone, underlining the strength and consistency of top-flight clubs this season.
