Former Dreams FC midfielder, Emmanuel Lomotey has joined Villarreal CF on loan from Spanish second-tier side Cordoba.
The combative midfield enforcer joined the Yellow Submarines on a season-long loan deal from the Segunda División B club Extremadura in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old joined Cordoba CF from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC last month after spending last season on loan at Extremadura.
The diminutive midfielder made eighteen (18) appearances during his loan spell at Extremadura.
Lomotey joins compatriots Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Raphael Dwamena, Emmanuel Boateng and Patrick Twumasi as Ghanaians plying their trade in the Spanish top flight.
Lomotey was a member of the Black Stars ‘B’ squad that clinched the 2017 WAFU Cup which was held in Ghana.
