Final moments of Veteran actor Kohwe will leave you in tears

Sad news Ghanaians have been greeted with this morning is that veteran actor Kohwe is dead. Find out more about the biography of Kohwe including his cause of death below.

The ace Ghanaian actor was born Kofi Laing, but came to be popularly known as Kohwe.

Date of death

Kohwe died during the evening of Thursday, September 16th, 2021.

He quietly passed away at his residence.

His daughter, Comfort Laing, confirmed the sad news of his passing.

Kohwe was believed to have been 75 years of age.

Cause of death of Kohwe?

Kohwe has been suffering from a stroke he sustained a few weeks ago and had been hospitalised.

He was receiving treatment for his ailment but sadly passed away.

That wasn’t the only thing Kohwe was suffering from. Like Psalm Adjetefio, Kohwe had been in the news several times begging for aid from Ghanaians.

Somehow, his plea was never responded to in a massive way.

He was left on his own despite his numerous pleas for help.

In one of his old interviews, Kohwe warned that Ghanaians should not wait for him to die before coming out with accolades and trying to honour his memory.

Kowhe pleaded for support from Ghanaians to help him whilst he’s alive because whatever they will do or say after he’s dead won’t bring him back to life.

“Don’t wait for me to die, before you pay glowing tribute to me for my wonderful contribution, your tribute will be meaningless because it will not bring me back to life,” he said.

It seems we all failed him, and now his prophecy would come true.

Acting Career
Kohwe became famous for his sterling roles in the Akan Drama series and the popular ‘District Colonial Court.’

He also played a stellar role in the ‘Kaneshie Odorkor’ television series.

In the ‘District Colonial Court’ show, his use of British English and Fante was a highlight and made him a household name.
