National Security operatives have arrested a former employee of Renters Paradise for embezzlement and grand theft.
Investigators say Robert Ekuban Kwoffie was arrested last month following a month-long investigations of possible embezzlement that took place some months ago.
Sources familiar with the matter said Renters Paradise – a property management agency that has offices in Accra and Kumasi contacted national security officials when it noticed financial inconsistencies.
Robert Ekuban Kwoffie disappeared with huge sum of money and valuable gadgets belonging to his former employers.
“As a salesman, he received monies from clients and would-be clients and promised these unsuspecting persons of offering them properties to occupy.
“Ekuban embezzled the company’s funds and stole computers and accessories,” officials added.
He subsequently lived a quiet and unassuming life in the Central Region, all in an attempt to escape the wrath of the law.
Knowing Robert Ekuban’s insatiable desire for women, a male police officer posed as a lady and engaged him on series of romantic conversations with him on Whatsapp. .
He however fell for the trap after few days when he travelled to Accra to meet-up with his ”new found lover”.
But, upon arriving in Accra, he was rounded up by security operatives and later admitted to stealing from his former employees.
