George Afriyie is the next Ghana FA president – Abdul Salam insists
New Edubiase United chief, Abdul Salam Yakubu has reiterated that former Ghana FA vice president, George Afriyie will be crowned as the president of the country’s football governing body if elections are held today.
Several football administrators such as Fred Pappoe, Kurt Okraku, Kudjoe Fianoo and Winfred Osei Kwaku Parma are all eyeing for the seat.
However, the former U17 management member believes despite all the names that have sprung up deserve the role but the Okyeman Planners stands tall due to his role in helping the growth of the game in the country.
“George Akwasi Afriyie is ahead of all persons who have popped up for the GFA Presidential race,” he told Germany-based Topical Radio.
“The fact that he’s not talking on the radio or making donations does not mean he is not working. He will come out at the right time.
“What is written is written. When the elections are conducted today, George will win hands down to come and continue the good works of Kwesi Nyantakyi,” he added.
