George Afriyie is the right person to lead Ghana football – Bechem United CEO
Nana Kwasi Darlington has insisted that former Ghana FA vice president, George Afriyie is the right candidate to lead football in the country.
Football in the country has been brought to a halt following the premiering of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas ‘nUMBER 12’ documentary that has unravelled the rot in Ghana football.
FIFA in consultation with the government of Ghana installed a four-member committee to see the day to day running of football in the country until March 2019.
However, elections are expected to be conducted after the committee are done with its mandate but the Bechem United CEO believes the Okyeman Planners financier is the right person to lead Ghana football.
“For me, George Afriyie is the best man to be the next GFA President because he is the listening type”, says the Bechem United CEO on Kumasi based Ashh FM.
George Afriyie was sacked by former FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi for declaring his intention to contest him when the latter made a return on his decision not to contest in the 2019 GFA elections.
