Ghana’s reality, 55 years after Nkrumah’s overthrow is poverty, unemployment and insecurity – Nana Yaa Jantuah

Nana Yaa Jantuah, General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has expressed fears over untold hardship brought on the ordinary Ghanaian and its ramifications on escalating crimes in the country.

Speaking at the Founder’s Day Celebration jointly organized by the Socialist Movement of Ghana and pan- African TV on September 21,2021, she stated that Ghana’s reality is abject poverty, unemployment, break down in social system and heightened sense of insecurity.

“You do not know when you do not know next when somebody will shoot you, you do not know next when somebody will kidnap your son and cut him up into human parts and preserved in a fridge,” the CPP leading member lamented.

Eulogizing Ghana first president, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the seasoned politician related how Nkrumah’s vision was to create a country where nobody would desire to travel outside to seek greener pastures.

Nana Yaa Jantuah stressed that Kwame Nkrumah is the only founder of Ghana and nobody can change that fact.

The General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), made a clarion call to all political parties to come together to think about Ghana and chart paths that will liberate the people of Ghana from hardship and neocolonialism.
