Gov’t doing a poor job with petrol pricing formula – IMANI President
President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has slammed incumbent government for doing a poor job with managing pricing formula for petroleum products.
He argued that the former government did a better job with petroleum issues than the Akufo-Addo led-administration.
Sharing his views on the matter in a tweet, he posited that the incessant fuel price hikes stems from government’s aim to mobilize revenue to fund unclear policies.
Petrol price have been on a constant increase for the past few months and public are lamenting over the increases, stressing that it would bring untold hardship on the citizenry.
Below is a chart showing consumer rates for petrol between October 2017 and July 2018.
By the way, this government is no different when it comes to petro politics. Petrol prices have unusually gone up all in a bid to mobilise more revenue for unclear policies.
