The Ministry of Information is holding a consultative meeting with stakeholders on broadcasting in Ghana today, 16 Friday 2021.
The forum will deliberate on how media-related regulators can act within the current legal framework to contain inappropriate media content, a statement issued by the ministry noted.
The forum, which will be televised on GTV and other private media platforms across the nation, will also dissect the draft Broadcasting Bill.
The forum comes on the back of the recent murder of a 10-year-old boy by to teenagers at Kasoa, Central Region, for ritual purposes.
The suspects confessed to having had the idea for the crime after watching a money ritualist on TV.
Since the gruesome incident, several stakeholders have clamoured for the passage of the bill to check the publication of such content in the media.
