Gyan advised me before joining Dalian Yifang – Boateng reveals

Emmanuel Boateng has confessed that he received a bit of advise from Asamoah Gyan before moving to the Chinese Super League.

Dalian Yifang signed the Ghanaian international for a fee believed to be in the region of 11million euros.

Gyan, a former player of Chinese Club Shanghai SIPG experienced the Super League where he spent one season.

Boateng’s move to China raised massive concerns after the player excelled in the La Liga with Levante.

But Boateng claims he kept contact with his Ghanaian compatriot before making his move to China.

“Indeed, for me, Ji’an is like my brother. He often gives me very good advice. Before I came there, I had a phone conversation with Ji’an.

“He told me that if you feel good, then go. Go to the Chinese Super League to prove yourself. Ji’an told me that choosing a Super League would not be wrong.”
