Hallowed Foundation, a Non Governmental Organisation in Ghana has empowered scores of youth through its skill-development project geared at training young people while keeping the environment clean and safe through collaborative efforts.
The Foundation held its maiden skill training workshop to groom young entrepreneurs last Saturday, July 18,2020 in Accra.
Activities carried out at the event included sanitizer making, liquid soap, antiseptics, T-shirt printing, vanilla ice cream and yogurt.
Speaking to Asempa News on the sidelines of the event, Miss Roberta Asare, founder of the NGO said, “the youth in this country need to strategically learn skills to improve their living standards especially during the coronavirus pandemic where the need for sanitary products like sanitizers, detergents and related items are in high demand”.
She encouraged young people who are currently waiting to enroll in tertiary institutions to turn to them for skill development training to start their own businesses until such a time that they are ready to pursue higher education.
She added that individuals could continue to utilize skills learnt from their carefully planned projects to make a livelihood even while they are in school.
Hallowed Foundation was formed by Roberta Asare, student of Ashesi University. She has an executive team of four; Mr Emmanuel Donkor, Mrs Fidelia Lamprey, Dorcas Opoku and Benedicta Larbi.
