Hypocrisy at it’s best – Irate social media user fires Akufo-Addo over looting comment
An angry social media user has slammed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after he sought to chastised Africans who aid foreigners to siphon the continent’s resources.
The President contributing to a panel discussion convened by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on building an “Africa Beyond Aid” had said, “People come to do business with us and they steal from us but we help them to steal. These people have nothing to lose in the end but we have everything to lose if we continue to assist them to loot our resources,”
After the reportage by state own press The Ghanaian Times, an angry social media user, only identified as Brunyah Paullouis has called bluff the stance by the President to chastise others for something he believes government itself is culpable of.
Brunyah Paullouis who believe the President is playing the ostrich in his posture on the matter of siphoning Africa’s resources to developed countries in a comment on Facebook said, ” Hypocrisy at high level. You collapse indigenous bank for foreign backs to take advantage. You take local businessmen contracts and give it to foreign contractors. [and turn round to blame others? This is hypocrisy at it’s best!]”
