I fear for the life of JB Danquah’s “killer” – Sam George
Sam Dzata George has expressed deep worry over the recent twist in the testimony of suspect of the late JB Danquah-Adu, after he confessed that he was contracted by some elements in the ruling NPP to murder the MP of Abuakwa North.
Mr George who stated that he was surprised by the development indicated that though the lawyer of the suspect Daniel Asiedu aka Sexy Don Don has argued that he’s a minor and mentally unstable, he finds it strange and does not comprehend on what grounds the lawyer is stating this fresh fact.
“I’m shocked by the development especially because, it appears to be another of contract killing not across political dispensation, but within the same party, NPP.
“I remember when the issue was being investigated right after the murder, I remember a former NPP MP, Edward Aning and even Kennedy Agyapong made some specific facts and details in connection with the murder, which were swept under the carpet with the admission by the prime suspect in the case, Daniel Asiedu that he committed the heinous act. So, with this new confession, I am becoming worried for his life, and I’m worried for his survival,” he said on Good Morning Ghana on Thursday.
The MP for Ningo Prampram opposed to other commentaries that the suspect may just be making vain statements alluded that, a lot of experiences in prison changes people.
“Some inmates get converted to Christian faith, Muslim faith and desire to leave their old crooked ways to live a life free of guilt and sin. So, I do not doubt his latest confession.
“I believe Daniel’s latest testimony must be considered as fresh evidence base on prima facae to unravel the mystery behind the murder of the late legislator,” he asserted.
Mr Aseidu told the court he was hired by some people in the NPP to kill the lawmaker on Wednesday, 20 June 2018.
He told the District Court presided over by Her Worship Arit Nsemoh that his “contractors” told him to indict certain persons in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) instead of the NPP in the event of his arrest.
The late J.B Danquah-Adu was murder at his Shiashie residence on 9th February, 2016 in Accra.
The “killer” reportedly gained access to the MP’s bedroom by climbing a ladder.
