Controversial preacher, Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has revealed that he predicted Kwesi Nyantakyi’s embarrassing fall “from grace to grass”.
The founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International in Accra says the former GFA president’s greed and arrogance caused his downfall.
“I prophesied Nyantakyi’s situation but people never took me serious. His time was up in 2015 but he was too power drunk and chose to stay in office, so some people conspired to remove him from office,” Prophet Kobi reportedly told KOFI TV.
Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas recently partnered the British media giant, BBC, to work on a documentary which was centered on football and politics.
The documentary titled, “Number 12” that was screened on June 6, implicated Kwesi Nyantakyi, executive members and some referees of corruption.
In the video, the former GFA boss, who is currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, is seen allegedly collecting bribe and also using the names of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to solicit bribes in the Anas documentary.
Kwesi Nyantakyi has since resigned his position amidst intense public pressure.
Prophet Kobi adds that he cautioned Mr Nyantakyi on an Accra based Rainbow radio upon seeing the vision.
“When God spoke to me, I warned the GFA and Kwesi Nyantakyi. I told them to honorably leave office but thy refused,” he stated.
