I was never a suspect in my wife’s murder – Chris Attoh

Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh has denied claims that he was a suspect in the murder case of his deceased wife Bettie Jenifer.

According to the actor, he would not have been walking as a free man if he were a suspect.

Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, the actor noted that after the death of his wife, the police invited her close associates for interrogation to aid with investigations, and, so, he was one of the people invited.

The actor said: “I was never a suspect in Bettie’s murder. I would never be, I loved Bettie very much and in cases like this, it is natural for law enforcement to speak to loved ones and close ones but by all means, it should not mean you are labelled the suspect. If I did anything, then I probably won’t be here,”

The actor also declined to touch on the subject of his late wife being married to another person.

Instead, the actor indicated that it has been a traumatic experience since losing her and he would rather preserve her memory.

“I loved her deeply and when she passed, it was very traumatic and very hard for me. Out of respect for loved ones and everything that I went through, I have decided not to comment on events that happened then. It is also my way of cherishing the love we shared and celebrating that, it’s in the past now,” the actor stated.

Bettie Jenifer was shot dead by unknown gunmen in May 2019, while leaving her office in Maryland, USA.
