I will expose “tin god” Anas – Ken Agyapong
Outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agypaong, has threatened to reveal damning information about investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas if he doesn’t stay away from his dubious practice.
According to the legislator, Anas has duped several unsuspecting people with his “so-called” investigative journalism, adding that he “will soon expose his activities”.
“I will soon expose this guy in this country. He goes round blackmailing people and we think he is doing something good for the country.
“This guy plant baits for people to accept bribe and later record them. What kind of investigation is that?” Mr Agyapong quizzed on Asempa FM on Monday.
He says Anas has acquired several properties through his creepy and dubious activities, stressing that it’s about time he is called to order.
The MP adds that he would reveal properties of the journalist if he is subjected to strict proof.
“This guy has become a tin god in this country and blackmailing people everywhere. He traps people and turn round to use as evidence against them.
“I, Ken Agyapong, won’t fall for that. His investigative methods are wrong and we must be bold to tell him in the face,” Ken Agyapong stressed.
What Anas has up his sleeve now, titled: “Number 12: When Misconduct and Greed Become The Norm”, is scheduled to air on June 6, 2018.
It promises to expose greed and corruption in Ghana’s football.
Issues of bribery in the form of livestock and money to influence the showing of red cards, player selection and the award of penalties are said to be regular occurrences in Ghana football.
The video has been labelled in some circles as bigger than the judicial scandal.
Already, some administrators of football have dared Anas and his team to come on with their so-called exposé because they are men of integrity who have run Ghana football without blemish over the last few decades, although their names have not been cited as being part of the scandal.
But some social commentators, including Ken Agyapong have criticized Anas’ modus-operandi, threatening to expose his corruptible practice.
