I’m disappointed in NPP serial callers – Nana B
Henry Nana Boakye better known as Nana B has expressed disappointment in serial callers in Kumasi for rioting over lack of jobs from the ruling party.
The serial callers argued that they had used their personal resources to push the agenda of the New Patriotic Party for years when the party was in opposition.
They however lamented over what they termed as abject neglect from the party after the NPP came into power.
They consequently rioted in Kumasi and burned their phones to register their displeasure at the Simon Osei-Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister and the party authorities.
Reacting to the issue on Okay FM on Thursday, Nana B disagreed with their actions stating that some NPP officials have offered some serial callers jobs but there are still some people who need to be sorted out.
He added that others rejected the jobs offered them because of a number of concerns.
“I admit that they have legitimate concerns by asking to be employed but I know that Sir John has helped some of them immensely. He actually offered some of them jobs but some of them did not have the knowledge in the area. I have personally offered some serial callers jobs for Ghc 700.00 to at least ease their burden but some don’t like the work schedule of 8am- 5pm and so on.
“So we are still looking to sort everyone out. I don’t know why they have decided to cause commotion over this matter,” the NPP National Youth Organizer said.
He said he will go to Kumasi to meet the group to deliberate on the matter, stressing that though they had legitimate concerns, their approach was wrong.
