Ghana U20 midfielder, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, says he hopes to perform well at the ongoing 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania to join a European club at the end of the tournament.
The 16-year-old has been one of the tournament’s best after producing some scintillating performances to help Ghana qualify for the semi-finals of the competition.
The Steadfast FC attacking midfielder states he’ll work hard to make that possible for him to continue his development in Europe at the end of the tournament.
“I’m hoping and praying for things to go well, because I’m hoping after this tournament, I will be happy to also be in Europe to continue my career,” Fatawu told cafonline.com
“I’ll still work hard to make things possible so that I can go outside of Ghana and continue my development.”
The former Ghana U17 skipper started all of Ghana’s group matches, scoring twice against Tanzania and Gambia.
He introduced himself to the world in the tournament with a stunning goal against Tanzania from the halfway line and another brilliant long-range strike against Gambia.
