Ernesto Yeboah, leader of the Economic Fighters League has expressed disappointment in the Akufo-Addo government over what he termed as neglect of the basic needs of the citizenry.
Speaking to a wide range of issues that bothers on governance on ‘Ghana Yenso Mu’ a current affairs show, Ernesto Yeboah indicated that the posture of government shows a blatant unwillingness to fix the country.
Relating the situation to a scenario of father and his children he said, “Imagine being a father to many children in a nuclear family. When your children demand basic needs, you tell them to go fix their attitude. Is that a father who cares for children?” he quizzed.
He further intimated that the “fix yourself” rhetoric which is still being peddled by elements in government is in bad taste, and indicates that leadership simply is not ready to fix the country.
Ernesto, who is one of the conveners of the “Fix the country” demonstration added that, President Akufo-Addo’s insatiable appetite for luxury is a cause for worry.
“Sometimes I wonder the kind of leaders God gave to us Africans. How is it that the leaders our President is approaching for aid live modest while, you that is going for help travel with luxurious chartered flight,” he retorted.
