Kennedy Agyapong has alleged that host of “Good Morning Ghana” show on Metro TV and football administrator, Randy Abbey sponsored the undercover investigations of former president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Speaking on Adom TV on Tuesday, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central divulged that he has empirical evidence that points to the fact that the veteran journalist and his associates plotted to humiliate Kwesi Nyantakyi.
“I have no doubt in my mind that Randy Abbey acted as director of the investigations. Having worked with Nyantakyi before, he coached Anas and his team to embarrass the man and very soon, I am going to expose all of them,” Mr Agyapong said.
Mr Agypong is on a collision course with Anas Aremeyaw Anas, whose investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI, recently dropped a documentary over alleged corruption at the Ghana Football Association.
The exposé has led to government taking steps to dissolve the football governing body, after its president, Kwesi Nyantakyi tendered in his resignation.
But Mr Agyapong has vehemently disagreed with the methodology of the investigations, arguing that Mr Nyantakyi and other officials of the FA were targeted.
He has however threatened to expose Anas, who he claims, accepts inducements before he carries out projects of such nature.
