A Security Analyst, Saani Adib says security mismanagement in the country over the years is the major contributing factor to the outrageous crimes seen in recent times.
Reacting to the Jamestown robbery in which a police officer escorting a bullion van was killed on Monday, Mr. Adib disclosed that over the years, the nation’s security has been towards the preservation of a political administration, a regime, or protecting the nation’s territorial borders.
According to him, the focus of successive governments and leaders in addressing the issues of security has not been helpful to the nation.
“The criminals are now fearless and act in a brave and audacious manner. Because in the past the criminals attack civilians but now they are attacking police stations, bullion vans and at some point they also attack ambulance,” he told Kasapa 102.5 FM.
He continued “Not long ago at Lapaz they (criminals) killed a community police officer painfully and so many other reported cases. All of these cases are as a result of one thing, that’s the result of years of security mismanagement in Ghana.”
